The U.S. military admitted Wednesday it accidentally shipped live anthrax to nine states and a U.S. base in South Korea.

The anthrax in shipments from a Utah military facility sent to labs was thought to be dead, but it wasn't.

FIFA officials arrested on corruption charges

Seven FIFA officials were arrested early Wednesday on corruption charges during a raid in Zurich, Switzerland.

The charges, backed by an FBI investigation over the course of three years, include money laundering, fraud and racketeering. FIFA officials are accused of accepting more than $150 million in bribes and kickbacks.

With parts of Texas and Oklahoma already waterlogged, rain will continue in East Texas along with flash flood warnings all over the Houston area. Doppler says 3-11 inches of rain could fall in just a few hours for the region. The heaviest is in Louisiana and then Mississippi. The system will weaken but more storms will fire this afternoon producing more rain.

This rainmaker now extends north into the Midwest. A good impulse is moving from the Plains to Western Great Lakes by this afternoon. Winds and hail are the main threat for the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes.
