'Oh God, it's mom': Brothers scolded live on C-SPAN

Democrat Brad Woodhouse and Republican Dallas Woodhouse are used to fighting with each other over politics. However, when the brothers got a call from "Joy in Raleigh, North Carolina" during a recent appearance on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal," they had to briefly settle their differences to avoid a family feud for the upcoming holidays.

Channel Seven's Sunrise host Natalie Barr was on live television covering the aftermath of a hostage situation at a Sydney, Australia, cafe when she learned that she had a personal connection to one of the victims who was killed.

Remember the old saying, "Don't take the law into your own hands..." from "The People's Court?" An Alabama family didn't heed those words of advice, but it worked out in the end as they held a group of alleged burglars at bay at gunpoint. 

Chris Wyatt's surveillance video captured the suspects breaking into his home on Friday and taking TV sets and Christmas presents. A few days later, Wyatt said he saw the alleged intruders as authorities were investigating a burglary at a neighbor's home.

Dozens of students, most of them children, were killed Tuesday in a Taliban attack at a northwestern Pakistan school. 

Militants stormed the Army Public School and Degree College in Peshawar, which is 75 miles from the country's capital of Islamabad. Officials say the Taliban specifically targeted students between the ages of 12 and 16.

The film is an adaptation of the famous Broadway musical, which follows a loveable orphan girl. The movie hits theaters on December 19.
