Juan to the next trial: What's ahead for Martinez

  • Mother of slain officer talks about Juan Martinez' next case
  • She says she's confident he will get the job done

As soon as the Jodi Arias trial wraps up in coming weeks, Arizona prosecutor Juan Martinez is set to take on another tragic murder case. He will be prosecuting the slaying of Glendale police Officer Anthony Holly. He was killed in the line of duty on President’s Day 2007.

His mother, Nancy Bonner, talked with HLN's Mike Galanos about Juan Martinez and the coming trial. Bonner says she has complete confidence that Martinez will get the job done.

“We met Juan in ‘07 and were immediately very comfortable with him," she says. "Through the years we’ve gotten to know him. We got to know his style ... and we’re very pleased he’s going to be working the trial for us.”

She is now involved with the Anthony Holly Foundation.
